A player favorite! Legend has it that this guitars original owner played early on with none other than Dick Dale, and purchased the guitar from the Fender factory. A keen observer to the Fender line always appreciates the Duo Sonic as the upgraded sister to the Music Master. Including an additional pickup, the versatility on these guitars can go from the traditional Strat punch, to Telecaster twang, with a unique spin by-way of the shorter 22.5" scale. Truly unique, and suitable for anyone with smaller hands, to someone looking for a slightly easier reach, the Duo Sonic's have a large studio history having been used by the likes of Hendrix, David Byrne, Patti Smith. Dean Ween, and even Liz Phair. A great way to save on an absolute player, this Duo Sonic neck dates in hand written pencil to 10/61, with original 304 Stackpole (#6120, 20th week of '61) original pots. Neck and frets are in great shape, with only mild fret wear, and a comfortable, and hardly worn profile. Very mild wear in the finish, with mild checking. A great addition to any Fender collection, or for any player looking for an instrument that is truly uniquely theirs. Comes with original hardshell case!
