This is the real deal. Here we have a very rare '62 Reissue fretless Jazz bass in the style of none other than Jaco Pastorious from the Fender Custom shop. Dated December 1994, this is #8 of an early 12 piece only run from a golden era of Fenders production, under management from the well-known John Page. A comfortable 1.5" nut width, with 13/16" neck depth (at the first fret), that will impress any J player. Pau Ferro fingerboard sounds nice and punchy - reminiscent of the iconic Jaco tone. Neck is straight, and and has very easy action. Setup with D'addario tape wounds, and with very little play time, the fingerboard is in excellent shape for being a finished neck fretless. The 3-tone '62 burst looks stunning, and is in period correct poly over nitro. Included in the sale is the original hardshell case & COA.
