Fender Bandmaster c. 1967 with Original 2x12"

  • Very Good + Condition
  • Year: 1967

Sometimes regarded as the peak of Fender tone, there is good reason why Bandmasters are seen all around the world being used in the studios and stage. This is the AB763 version Blackface plate which is highly regarded in the Fender line up, as it is essentially the head format of what would be in a Deluxe, Twin, or Vibrolux. This non-reverb model has a generally cleaner tone than the Bandmaster Reverbs. With two 6L6's in the power amp, these amps boast about 35-40 watts, ideal for high amounts of clean tone, but right in the sweet spot for some really nice tube compression. This was recently serviced by legendary Rochester amp technician John Nau, and was recapped, for a very low noise floor. The input jacks have been replaced, as well as one tone pot. This is now in perfect working order with a replaced 3 prong adapter. Comes with the original footswitch, as well as a replaced speaker cable. Comes with the original Fender stamped amp cover. The original cabinet is loaded with Fender speakers one Utah dating 1971, and one CTS dating 1966 (presumably the original). Suitable for all styles of music, this amp is ready to take on another career of music on stage and in the studio.
