Rare example signed by A.A. Farland, who was a well-known virtuoso and teacher from the late 19th century. An absolute pleasure to play, currently setup w/ peghead geared tuners, exceptional sound. This Ladies sized banjo features an 8-1/4" wooden rim w/ bevel top and is constructed of birdseye maple. The 21" scale maple neck has an ebony fingerboard, with "Farland Baby Grand" name is engraved in pearl on the peghead overlay. Cracking is present on the peghead overlay, and on rim cap.
