A beautiful, original five string with unusual features, from the second year of the new perforated tonering's run, with a 28 inch scale neck with an 11-1/2 inch rim. Natural finish highlighting the high grade flamed maple used and the beautiful heel carving. Most professional grade No. 9 Tubaphones have a stained maple neck with 11-13/16 inch rim. The sound of the banjo with this rim is beautifully balanced and suitable for most styles of playing. As a top of the line instrument it has all of the engraved mother of pearl in the peghead, fingerboard and heel cap. All parts are complete including pearl button tuners and no knot tailpiece. Some light cosmetic wear present, replaced pip, mild fret wear, and missing small chunk of binding near fifth.
