Epiphone's professional model with 17 wide inch body. The Broadway was built to compete with the Gibson L-5 and is reminiscent of that famous Jazz box with flamed maple back and sides, spruce top, symmetrical peghead with vine inlay and block mother of pearl inlays. This example has some typical binding shrinkage and portions have been reglued; body has finish checking, some scuffs, dings, and playing wear (ding on top). Five piece, 25.5" scale neck with 1-3/4" nut width; some fret wear in first few positions on high strings; playing wear and checking on back of neck. Equipped with gold plated original "E" stamped tuners, patented Frequensator tailpiece, rosewood bridge. Missing pickguard, original paper label present. Original case present; exterior brown painted, missing top hinge; yellow interior w/ heel recess in excellent condition.
