Five years ago we borrowed a 1930s style 3M ukulele from a collector friend. We promptly sent it off to Eastman Strings. After a few tries they replicated it perfectly. The secret was getting the top and back to be the proper thickness. We had a Style 3 in the shop for repair that was essentially a "kit" (the top and back were off) so we took all the measurements from it and sent those to Eastman. They nailed it!!! With its choice mahogany construction, tortoise binding, expert fret work, geared tuners, hard shell case and gentle price, this is an instrument truly worthy of the great Eastman line. This uke sounds just like the ones from the 20s and 30s, with that classic, woody, poppy soprano sound. Includes beautiful Eastman hard shell case!
