Rare tenor ukulele from illusive English builder, Aladar De Vekey. 10 fret body, with 17 total frets, orange spruce top with mahogany back/sides, bound top and soundhole. Original rosewood bridge, rosewood fingerboard. Mahogany neck with heel scarf. "de Vekey" inlaid on pearl on peghead. Equipped with unusual friction pegs with triangular shaped buttons. Expected playing wear throughout including scratching on back/sides/top, wear on neck. Some binding shrinkage, later refinish to back/sides. Excellent tone, lots of depth and projection. Includes charming original hard case.
