D. Barbieri & Brothers

  • AS IS Condition
  • Year: circa 1920s

Big and bold...this is an unusual "jumbo" guitar attributed to D. Barbieri & Bros. in Waterbury Ct. The body is extra deep (4.5"), and features mahogany back and sides, with finely grained spruce top; decorative ebony bridge with some cracks, later wooden pickguard; lots of open cracks on body; center seam, back, top, sides. The mahogany neck has 12 frets to the body, 27" scale rosewood fingerboard, six on a side peghead; neck appears to have been reset at some point.
