Here we have an original Martin coffin case from the 19th Century! This case is in great condition considering its age. The exterior does have some repairable cracks in the wood, and is missing the top part of the bottom latch, but the hinges and the brass handle are holding strong. The plum interior is faded, but still looks rather nice. The label was torn at some point, but the "C. F. Martin & Co." text is partially visible. There is some of the lining missing from the area around the headstock. This case would have been for a Martin Size 2 or 2 1/2.
