C. M. Heim American Violin

  • Very Good + Condition
  • Year: 1950
  • Includes Hard Shell Case

Made by C. M. Heim of Erie PA in 1950, this is an interesting American violin, most suited for folk or traditional fiddle styles. The body features intense arching, maple back and sides, with a three piece spruce top; crude purfling. The neck is maple, and was attached using an innovative heel joint (edge of heel is notched where back meets heel cap), with ebony fingerboard.
