Extremely RARE, early model with black finish on the neck and interior of the rim; highly engraved Gryphon and pearl throughout. Rim assembly has the original No Knot tailpiece, and friction tuners with ivoroid buttons; 10-3/4 rim, 26 inch scale neck. Some finish checking, dings, and cosmetic wear present, but no structural issues; binding has separated in some places on side of neck. An exceptional sounding banjo, loud and rich.
