  • Year: circa 1925

Very rare model with all five strings in the peghead, white holly neck and rim, nickel plated, shallow figured maple resonator is maple with tulip flange; originally intended as a five string plectrum banjo, the instrument is currently setup with a standard five string set (mixed Aquila set), and sounds absolutely fantastic with a John Balch skin head and Farquhar bridge. Rim assembly features original five string Kershner tailpiece, armrest, hardware, and Silver Bell tonering. The neck has a 27" scale length, and 1-9/16" wide nut; original two-step geared tuners (plating lacking on middle tuner). Some scratches are present on the back of the resonator and the plating is in overall good condition; some wear on back of neck.
