Extremely early, Groton CT built Bacon Blue Ribbon Style A, dating from the spring of 1923. The 11.5" diameter wooden rim assembly features perforations inside and out, with a rolled tonering atop a straight wooden section; arm rest is original, with Oettinger reproduction; original turned wooden "pop-off" resonator present, though is missing thumb screw for easy removal. The 27 fret maple neck has a 22" scale length ebony fingerboard w/ large early profile; original frets present, but moderate pitting is present.; equipped with strange non-original tuners that function as they should. Some chipping present on ebony beyond last fret.
