First introduced in 1929, we are pleased to offer for sale a tenor example of the Sultana model from 1931, made by the Bacon Banjo Co. The rim assembly appears completely original, with golden pearloid exterior side wall; equipped with Knee Mute, Oettinger tailpiece, Grover pick holder, and armrest; Silver paint present on inside of rim and resonator bacl; two-step flange w/ f holes. The neck also features a pearloid fingerboard w/ engravings, and appears to have been refretted w/ larger brass frets; more recent tuners installed. Condition wise the banjo is in nice structural condition with no apparent breaks or refinish work; scratches are present on the back of the neck, and some tarnishing to the metal parts. Included is original hard case in fair shape; lining has detached in some spots, and exterior has some scrapes and scuffs.
