Very unique, light-weight and short scale minstrel banjo with no markings apart from XI stamp present inside the rim behind the dowel stick. Single-lap oak rim measuring about 10-3/4", six eagle brackets, brass tension hoop. 22" scale lightweight, possibly birch or ash, neck with sharp neck angle similar to some Dobsons. Equipped with friction pegs, and a reproduction bone tailpiece. A quaint, yet plunky banjo.
