An early 1900's Philadelphia made SS Stewart Thoroughbred Special appointed with a stunning peonese heel carving, confetti headstock, diamond fret inlays. Newer pancake tuners, and no-knot reproduction tailpiece. Refinished neck and dowel stick, rim and tension hoop have been brought to a brushed finish. All original hardware, including neck bracket. 11" head, 1 5/32" nut width, a 26" scale. Neck slightly bowed, however banjo still plays and sounds.
