The banjeaurine's invention can be attributed to S.S. Stewart, who developed a unique style of banjo that usually featured a shorter neck and fingerboard extension. This particular example features a 12" German silver rim, with faux rosewood interior, and features Stewart's patented neck adjuster in front of the dowel stick. The neck has 14 frets, with a small extension over the banjo's rim. Scale length is 18 1/2". The banjo has retained the majority of its original hardware, apart from a few replaced nuts, a reproduction "No Knot" tailpiece, and fifth string tuner. The banjo has recently undergone a restoration in our shop, where the heel was reglued.
