This model was first introduced by the C. F. Martin company with a round sound hole. Those were produced only from 1931-1933. The "f" hole models became standard in 1934. This instrument is 15 inches wide at the lower bout with straight grained Brazilian rosewood back and sides. The sunburst top is carved spruce and shows a fair amount of playing wear. It retains the original pickguard. There is one repaired back crack but no top cracks. It is bound in white/black /white. One tuner is mismatched. The neck joins the body at the 14th fret and the ebony fingerboard sports snowflake position markers. While the guitar is an arch top, the tone is full, robust and strident with plenty of sustain. It can be used for a variety of playing styles. The case is original but very rough.
