This will be a most rewarding restoration project! This pre-war Martin has suffered multiple cracks, and it is currently unplayable. The neck is all in one piece with no cracks. The body, however will need repair before being played. The top has one crack above the bridge along the treble side, and the top is beginning to separate from the sides along the lower bout. The back is in decent shape with a slight seam crack along the center seam. The back is also separating from the sides along the lower bout. The sides are what need to be repaired the most. The treble side is in good condition. The bass side has a few significant cracks. One runs from an inch away from the end pin up to just past the waist on the upper bout. a second runs longer, parallel to the first, and runs further up the upper bout until it splits and runs until about an inch away from the heel. One last small crack runs perpendicular to the first where it starts at the end pin, and runs against the grain. Although the last crack is visible, it is not open. All in all this will be a fantastic sounding guitar when it is finished, and will continue to reward you as you play it more and more.
