1902 Martin 00-28 in great shape. This one of only 14 made in 1902. It has been refinished to preserve it as it was getting on in age, way on. There are small markings under the strings from fingernails but do not go through the wood, just lightly on the finish. Vintage correct replacement bridge has been installed some time ago that is authentic in shape with the iconic Martin pyramid design. The original bridge is in the case. There is a professionally installed cleat inside stabilizing a crack that runs 1 3/4" long from the bass side of the bridge. It is fully repaired and closed. The factory grafted headstock was broken and then repaired, the volute was replaced with a new piece of mahogany. This is a repair to fix either a broken headstock or damaged neck. Either way it was well done and is solid. The top of this beautiful piece is spruce with Brazilian rosewood back and sides and a cedar neck. The body binding is all ivory including the heel cap. The fretboard is unbound. The center seam on the back has a zig zag pattern. The saddle and nut are bone. 24 3/4" scale and 1 7/8" nut.
