A classic "alligator-shaped" violin case manufactured by the famous MAULBETSCH & WHITTEMORE Company of Newark NJ around the turn of the century. All locks intact with "M. & W. Co." stamps present, underside of case impressed with two stamps with patent information, including the company's "bull-on-stave" trademark guaranteed logo. Hefty tooled leather case handle, purple interior.
