A early Gibson banjo from the era when "TB" stood for tango banjo. 12" hollow rim, and simple tonering, with a 15 fret maple neck. Bound moccasin shaped peghead with "The Gibson" script inlay and Fleur Di Lis pearl inlay. Dowel stick present with FON and batch number stamped. This banjo is especially clean cosmetically, apart from typical surface scratching from playing, and some wear on the back of the neck. Original hardware intact including Champion friction tuners, tall heart shaped bridge included in case, and tailpiece. Some nuts have been replaced. Included in the sale is the banjo's original GEIB made hardshell case. Great for Irish/Celtic styles, five string conversions, and beyond.....
