A clean, faded to walnut brown mid 60s Gibson SG Special. Original frets on a straight single-bound mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, neck has numerous capo marks and playing wear on the back of the neck. Finish checking present throughout guitar especially on top of headstock over Gibson logo. Trem arm as been replaced. Some slight signs of refinishing very on in this guitar's life. At some point the tuners were replaced, but have been reverted back to the originals. Pots date from 1965, serial number points to 1970, however all appointments indicate 1966 including no "made in USA" stamp on the back of the peghead. Newer Gibson hard case included in sale.
