This banjo started life as a PB-250 (plectrum four string). It has been perfectly converted to a five string with all of the appointments of the original banjo. In fact, the only telltale sign is the narrower cutout in the tension hoop for a four string neck rather than a wider five string. The rim bears the original early four hole archtop tone ring. The banjo is perfectly set up and has an unexpectedly darker sound than any archtop we have played. This is a fantastic instrument suitable for professional playing.
