This is a feather light, 12 fret neck model with natural mahogany finish (older refinish to the body). This is Gibson's earliest flat top sometimes referred to as the "Robert Johnson" model since the famed bluesman was often pictured with this model. The guitar measures 13-7/8" across the lower bout. The top and back are bound as is the sound hole. The back and sides look to be birch and the top is fine grained spruce. It is braced with an "H" pattern. The action is medium high... just right for a Robert Johnson blues style player. There are three, repaired top cracks and the ebony pyramid bridge is likely and newer creation, so it is not a collectors piece but just a great player and a wonderful sound. Comes with a chip board case.
