This is a beautiful example of a Arist model mandola from the Gibson company. This deep red sunbursted instrument retains the original pickguard tailpiece cover and tuners. Inlayed pearl flower pot and "The Gibson" in the head stock. There is a minor crack on the top one on the bass side under the scroll but it is most likely a stress crack and is in the surface only. This instrument has a booming low end that is typically reserved for much larger bodied instruments.
