First introduced in 1961, the Barney Kessel Custom model features two Florentine cutaways, bowtie inlays, musical note peghead inlays, all hardware is gold-plated. Three-piece maple neck with 25.5 scale, 20 frets. Beautiful cherry-sunburst solid spruce top with 17" lower bout, back/sides are solid maple. Bound peghead, neck, top/back/sides. Original humbuckers. This is a rare example from 1970 and is in excellent condition, no cracks or repairs, just expected finish checking present. FON# 48293 is inkstamped on the back of the top under the f-hole. Newer hardshell case with red lining. The nut measures 1 9/16". The guitar has a nice C shaped profile that fills the hand really comfortably. Weighs 7.4 lbs
