Gibson A-1

19988

A PLAYER'S PUMPKIN TOP, with a wide-grain spruce top. Features original tuners, and "The Gibson" script tailpiece cover. Replaced adjustable bridge and bone nut, reproduction pickguard (with original early mounting clasp) has been retired to the case. This particular mando has a deep, dynamic sound, and plays with ease. Cosmetically speaking, this A-1 has been refinished exposing some of the unusual grain on the back of the neck, and has finish wear on the sides, and top heel joint. A well-repaired top crack is present under the bridge-foot on the bass side, and the first six frets are non-original. Included in the sale is a newer hard case.
