A paramount accomplishment of George C. Dobson, his Victor banjo which was often flaunted during live performances and sold to his many students. This example features an 11" head, is fully spun, has 38 brackets. Ebony fetboard features diamonds/star inlays, peghead overlay is rosewood, mahogany neck. Friction pegs present, ivoroid and metal tailpiece stamped: "GEO. C. DOBSON, Boston Mass., VICTOR". This is being sold as is.the neck has a bow that needs to be corrected and the dowel stick needs to be reset to give this a good playing action. All of the other parts are quite worthy for this project.
