Hand carved solid spruce top, hand carved solid maple back and sides, and ebony fretboard. This is an exceptional looking AND sounding mandolin from our b-stock shipment. It's loud and full, and looks phenomenal. The "uneven finish" is barely noticeable as it simply makes the mandolin look lighter than the others. The checking on the binding is there, but you have to look for it as it is in a tight corner surrounded by the neck and scroll.
