This is the second in the series of instruments that draw from the collection of David Grisman. It is closely modeled after the extremely rare Bacon and Day Artist mandolin with 4 body points and fiddle edge binding; flamed maple back and sides. This instrument sounds better than any old Bacon mandolin I have ever played. It plays beautifully up the neck and has sparkling trebles and warm basses. It puts out tons of sound for an oval hole mandolin.
