This is a very nice vintage Regal-made Dobro model 37. This model features a mahogany body and neck and two tone burst with a rosewood fingerboard and spider cone. This guitar had the original square neck cut down and a truss rod installed for standard play (ugly job). It now has a repro square neck but is otherwise original except for a Quarterman spun cone. The guitar also has a serial number (7348) stamped on the lower bass bout but that is clearly an attempt to deceive. That number would have appeared on a 1935 California-made guitar and this one has none of the details that would correspond to that number. The body is in great condition with a couple of small marks that would normally be found on a 75 year old guitar that has been well taken care of, and the reproduction neck has a perfect likeness in finish to the body, creating a nearly perfect union in structure and aesthetics.
It has a melodic sound, but you can dig in when you need to without loosing it's great tone. It comes with the original chip board case that is in an good condition.
