The Sliver Bell is one of the banjos that set the standard for DIxieland music in the 1920s and 30s. Under the directorship of David L. Day, the Bacon Company produced a variety of models and styles of banjos. The original Silver Bell features maple construction with a 19 fret neck with ebony fingerboard. The rim has the classic high profile tonering and "f" hole flange. The banjo is outfitted with original Grover pancake tuners and an Oettinger tailpiece.
