Beatles: The Fab Four Strings pt. 1   11 am – 12:15 pm

Beatles songs & the Ukulele are like peanut butter and jelly…they just belong together! In this class we will play and sing a variety of great Beatles songs using open and bar chords.  Stuart will share his own Ukulele orchestra arrangements for these songs--which will use those famous melody lines, single note riffs and solos that we all love…thus creating a rich texture amongst the group. Open to all levels of experience.

UKEABILLY WORKSHOP   12:30 pm – 1:45 pm

Go cat go!!!  In this workshop, Kala Ukulele artist Stuart Fuchs will teach Rockabilly & Rock n’ Roll guitar styles adapted for Ukulele.  You’ll learn the basics of rhythm & lead playing in the styles of Carl Perkins, Brian Setzer, Chuck Berry, Scotty Moore, and many more. In addition to playing Stu’s Uke orchestra arrangements of classic tunes, this lesson will include:

--Accompaniment strums & feel--Boogie bass lines--Chord based fills & solos--Double note licks-Finger picking backup--12 bar blues form  Open to all levels of experience.
